How much does a guided tour cost?

How do I pay?

Payment must be made on the day of the event. Please note that we currently only offer cash payment.

Can I buy Tickets online?

Yes, you can buy tickets online via our sales partner WIEN TICKET, but you cannot book an appointment. If you have purchased a WIEN TICKET for HANDS UP or received one as a gift, please contact us so that we can find and book a suitable date for your tour.

Can I buy vouchers from you?

Ja! Über unseren Vertriebspartner WIEN TICKET kannst Du Tickets kaufen und später einlösen. Bitte nimm mit uns Kontakt auf, damit wir einen passenden Termin für Deine Führung finden und buchen können. Soll das Ticket ein Geschenk in Form eines Gutscheines sein, findest Du hier passende Vorlagen, welche Du zuhause selber ausdrucken kannst.

How long does a guided tour last?

A guided tour lasts about 50 minutes. Please arrive about 10 minutes before the start of the 1st tour.

Do I have to book in advance or can I drop by spontaneously?

When we are on tour, our exhibition will be closed on selected days. A visit to the exhibition and participation in a guided tour are therefore only possible after prior registration and receipt of a booking confirmation.

Who can participate in HANDS UP?

There are no language, mental or physical restrictions for participation in HANDS UP. Guided tours for children under the age of 8 (1st and 2nd grade primary schools) and children in kindergarten age are very individual and only possible by prior arrangement.

Can I take part in a guided tour on my own?

Yes, of course! However, we emphasise grouping individuals together, as this enhances the experience!

Is there a maximum number of participants?

No! However, we recommend guided tours for a maximum of 15 people. This way we can guarantee that all participants have a good view of the guide and can actively participate in the exhibition programme. If the group is larger, it will be divided and the second group will start approx. 20 to 30 minutes later. The tour lasts approx. 50 minutes. During the waiting time, participants have the opportunity to learn their first signs or the finger alphabet.

If you are coming with more than 45 participants, please note that we have limited capacity in the waiting area. For large groups (45 people or more), we recommend that you spend some time outside our exhibition, e.g. in the Augarten (10 minutes’ walk)

What do I do if I cannot keep a booked appointment?

We are dependent on timely planning of our appointment and personnel capacities. If you are unable to keep an agreed appointment, please contact us in good time, at least one to two days before the event, in the interests of both parties. Cancellation of the entire booking must be made both by telephone and in writing.

What do I do if the number of participants in my group is smaller than originally booked?

If one or two people in a group of e.g. 20 participants cancel, this is not a problem. However, if half of the group suddenly drops out without timely notification (at least one to two days before the event), a 50% cancellation fee will be charged for all absentees.

Do I have to or can I prepare myself or my group for participation in HANDS UP?

EXPERIENCE SILENCE = BE QUIET!

Me or my group can't come to you - would you come to us?

Is the exhibition accessible for wheelchair users?

Yes, thanks to a stair lift, our exhibition is barrier-free.

The 2nd district is a short-term parking zone. There are only limited parking spaces available.
